Montana’s economy is driven by small business. According to a 2015 government report entitled Small Business State and Territory Profiles, small businesses represent 97.4% of all employers in Montana and employ over two-thirds of the private-sector labor force. Here in Montana, we not only love our small businesses, our economy absolutely depends on their success.
Of course, entrepreneurship can be a risky endeavor. However, with proper planning, preparation, and insight, you can improve your chances of success. Keep in mind that you will need to be a self-starter with an ability to get along with any number of personalities, from employees to clients to other professionals.
